Welcome to the Hoffman Basketball Academy

What does the Hoffman Basketball Academy have to offer? A LOT!

We offer winter and summer In-house leagues, Feeder and AAU seasons, fundamental camps, specialty clinics and 1 on 1 training. Coming soon in September and October we will offer feeder and fundamental camps for all ages to get you ready for the upcoming winter season.

2023-24 Winter In-House Basketball League

The Hoffman Estates Youth Basketball League is a recreational program that focuses on teaching your child the fundamentals of basketball in a fun environment. Volunteer Coaches will emphasize individual fundamentals in practice along with game strategy and sportsmanship. Practice days will be determined by the volunteer coach’s availability.

  • 1-2nd Grade teams are formed by the night and location you register for. 3rd-4th grade teams will be put together by the park district, according to the area you live in, friendship request and your practice availability. 5th-8th grade teams are put together based on evaluations. Friendship and coaches request are not allowed at the 5th-8th grade level.
  • Teams will practice once a week for 1.5 hours. Volunteer coaches will pick the day, time and location of practice. When registering you can request days that you cannot practice and we will do our best to accommodate. Practices begin the week of December 4th.
  • Teams will play one game a week on Saturday mornings/afternoons. Games will take place at Triphahn center for grade 1-4 and at Willow Recreation Center for grade 5-8. Teams will begin games on January 6 and end on March 2nd/9th.
  • Registration Deadline for the 2023-24 winter league is October 23rd

  • Practice begins week of December 4th

Fundamental Camps (Designed to get you ready for the season ahead)

Looking to get ready for the season ahead? Maybe you need to get some touches on the ball for your school/feeder/aau team tryouts? These 4 week fundamental camps will help you get there. With a heavy focus on footwork and basic scoring techniques these camps will get your basketball player ready for the next level in their hoops career. Classes run on Wednesday or Thursday nights.

Hoop Science Academy Basketball Summer Camp

Reach your full potential and set yourself apart from the competition with Hoop Science Academy this summer. Join our 3 day camp filled with fundamental development, partner & group drills, games and much more! HSA’s expert coaches, Nada Gomaa & Jordon Boyd, will provide players with the skills and mental approach they need to become a better and more explosive player. Emphasis is placed on fundamentals, footwork, balance, conditioning and confidence. Join us and take your game to the next level.

Get in the Lab with HSA

Learn the fundamentals of basketball and become a more confident athlete with Hoops Science Academy’s weekly basic fundamental training. Our experience and passionate coaches, Nada Gomaa and Jordan Boyd, will cover stationary and full court ball handling, footwork and shooting technique, catch & shoot drills, shots on the move, drive & kick, passing, defense, court spacing, transition, sportsmanship and IQ. On top of these fundamental skills, we also emphasize agility, strength training and endurance to give our athletes complete basketball workouts. Join us and not only will you become a better basketball player, but you’ll have fun becoming the best version of yourself.
