Little Hooper’s League (Pre-K and Kindergarten)

Is your little hooper ready to get on the hardwood? Our Friday night PreK- Kindergarten league is a perfect place to introduce your child to the game of basketball. These 1 hour sessions, held at the Triphahn Center Gym, will be divided up into a practice and scrimmage segments. Our 1 hour sessions will be led by volunteer coaches and will focus on the basics of basketball. Each player will receive a t-shirt and the proper equipment will be provided.

Important Dates:

January 13th- Practices begin

January 20th- Scrimmages are added

March 10th- Final practice/scrimmage


1-2nd Grade Co-ed Winter Basketball League Info! (Wait list only)

Ready to start your little ones basketball career? Our 1st/2nd Grade co-ed league is a great first step. Our pod system league gives your child everything they need to begin their basketball career. The Pod System is a group of 20 players that practice and compete in scrimmages together. Volunteer coaches will host a 1-hour practice on a weekday (starting the week of December 5th) and run an organized scrimmage on Saturday mornings (starting January 7th). Players will learn the fundamentals of footwork, shooting, dribbling, defense and basketball strategy. When you register you can pick the night (Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday) and location (north of I-90 or south of I-90). 3rd-8th Grade Boys and Girls Winter Basketball League Info! (SPOTS OPEN FOR 7/8 BOYS)

The Hoffman Estates Youth Basketball League is a recreational program that focuses on teaching your child the fundamentals of basketball in a fun environment. Volunteer Coaches will emphasize individual fundamentals in practice along with game strategy and sportsmanship. Practice days will be determined by the volunteer coach’s availability.

Important roster information: 3rd-4th grade teams will be put together by the park district. According to the area you live in, friendship request and your practice availability. 5th-8th grade teams are put together based on evaluations. Friendship and coaches request are not allowed at the 5th-8th grade level.

Practice information: Teams will practice once a week for 1.5 hours. Volunteer coaches will pick the day, time and location of practice. When registering you can request days that you cannot practice and we will do our best to accommodate. Practices begin the week of December 5th.

Game information: Teams will play 1 game a week on saturday mornings/afternoons. Games will take place at triphahn center for 1-4th grade and at willow recreation center for 5th-8th grade. Teams will begin games on January 7th and end on March 4th/11th.

Shop Day!- Dicks Sporting Goods in Schaumburg Illinois will have a discounted shop weekend, TBD, for all HEPD Players. Look at for an email close to the shop day for your discount code.

Fundamental Camps

Ready to take your game to the next level? These 4 week fundamental camps will help you get there. With a heavy focus on footwork and basic scoring techniques these camps will get your basketball player ready for the next level in their hoops career. Classes run on Thursday nights, see below for more detail.

Ball handling and Shooting Clinic

Looking to become a better shooter? Want to know how to blow by your defender and get to the basket easier? Our Saturday ball handling and shooting clinics are perfect for you. These classes will focus on these primary skills that are essential into becoming a better player. Coached by former HEHS and JUCO basketball player, Marshall Davis, he will make sure your child leaves with the proper mechanics to be a better shooter or ball handler when they leave.
