STAR Academy Fills Gap in After School Services

In August, Northwest Special Recreation Association (NWSRA), will open the doors to the STAR Academy after school program, that will serve students with disabilities throughout the northwest suburbs.  “Through our Strategic Planning process, many parents highlighted the growing need for affordable, accessible after school programming for these students,” NWSRA Executive Director Tracey Crawford stated.  The program will provide services to over 50 students with disabilities daily, five days a week, throughout the school year.   Read More »

Wolf Pack Hockey Awarded $20,000 Grant

The Hoffman Estates Park District would like to thank Jewel/Osco, Kraft and Heintz for awarding our Wolf Pack Hockey Development Program with a $20,000 grant.  The grant will be used for new hockey equipment, teaching equipment for the hockey lessons program, to assist families with financial needs, and grassroots development in the game of hockey.

Hoffman Walks for Heroes – July 8

Join us for our next Hoffman Walks event. This event is one in a series of free walking events, called Hoffman Walks. The next event is Sat July 8 at 9-11 am. On one Saturday each month, HE Parks will host a 2-hour walk at a park or facility open to all ages and abilities.
