Volunteer Appreciation Night at Windy City Bulls

Are you a youth sports coach, Foundation volunteer or did you volunteer for the park district in some other capacity last year? If so, thank you for your dedicated service as a HE Parks Volunteer!

Each year, our volunteers provide opportunities for thousands of kids to enjoy enriching experiences by giving their time and effort to youth sports programs, at community events, and through our Foundation. To show our appreciation, we invite all volunteers to join us at one of the Windy City Bulls Basketball Games listed below.

The Windy City Bulls is the NBA Development League (D-League) Affiliate of the Chicago Bulls! The Windy City Bulls 2016-17 inaugural regular season schedule includes 24 home games at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates.

We would like to offer you a Voucher good for up to 4 tickets! Please complete the form below to get your Voucher. You must request your voucher by the deadline date.

Exciting Enhancements Coming To Triphahn Center

As of Wed. Dec. 7, please use the South Entrance, as the north and east side doors are now closed. This is because we have begun exciting enhancements to meet future programming needs. The plans stem from the Comprehensive Master Plan (CMP), which was completed in 2014 after extensive surveys, focus groups with residents and meetings with community stakeholders.

The CMP revealed the growing need for preschool programming, programs for residents age 50 and over, and off-ice hockey training areas.  As a result, the District spent much of 2015 studying  options to accommodate future needs. HE Parks Earns Illinois Distinguished Agency Award

img_2160HE Parks has again been recognized as an Illinois Distinguished Accredited Agency by the Illinois Association of Park Districts (IAPD) and the Illinois Park and Recreation Association (IPRA). HE Parks was first recognized in 2000. The current certification is valid through 2022. In compliance with the program, HE Parks will be reevaluated in six years to verify that they have continued to demonstrate sound management practices in providing quality park and recreation services to the community. New Smoking Ban Ushers In A Healthier New Year

There is no better time than the present to stop smoking. That’s because as of January 1, 2017, smoking is prohibited at all Hoffman Estates Park District (HE Parks) properties, except for Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club. All facilities and parks are now smoke free, including electric cigarettes. This ban was put in place because establishing a smoke-free park system directly supports its mission “to provide healthy and enjoyable activities” in its facilities and parks. HE Parks made the decision because the effects of smoking and secondhand smoke are the cause of many diseases and health conditions leading to hundreds of thousands of deaths annually.
