The Hoffman Estates Park District is excited to announce that its youth hockey program has been granted formal approval to register and operate Tier II travel teams beginning in the upcoming Fall 2026–2027 season. As part of this exciting new chapter, the Park District will be rebranding its entire hockey operation as the Hoffman Ice Hawks, creating a fresh start and a unified, dynamic look for youth hockey within the community.
Building on a strong, established foundation of player development and competitive success, the Hoffman Ice Hawks initiative aims to unify all players within the community. The consolidated program will continue to provide premier, high-quality hockey development and competitive opportunities for players and families throughout the entire region.
“We are absolutely thrilled to bring this premier level of youth hockey under the HEParks umbrella,” said Craig Talsma, Executive Director. “Operating the Hoffman Ice Hawks out of the Triphan Center & Ice Arena, with our two premier sheets of ice, gives us the perfect platform to truly elevate player development. This transition is great for the development of our young athletes, fantastic for the community, and a proud milestone for HEParks.”
Moving forward, all local hockey programming, including the current Wolf Pack, Wolverines, Timberwolves, and all foundational developmental hockey classes, will be conducted exclusively under the Hoffman Ice Hawks banner. To ensure a streamlined, consistent, and community-focused experience for all participating families, the Hoffman Ice Hawks will be fully operated, administered, and overseen directly by the Hoffman Estates Park District (HEParks). This administrative alignment centralizes player registration, program curriculum, team operations, and organizational management under a single public entity.
Additional updates, including the release of the new logo will be announced in the coming weeks.
