Fabbrini Park to Temporarily Close July 13-17 for Upgrades and Resurfacing

The Hoffman Estates Park District has announced that Fabbrini Park, located at 1704 Glen Lake Rd., will be temporarily closed to the public from Monday, July 13 through Friday, July 17. This closure is necessary to safely and efficiently execute a series of improvements designed to enhance the recreational experience for all visitors.

During the maintenance window, crews will work to complete several major projects simultaneously. Project operations include the repairing, color coating, and striping of the tennis and pickleball courts, the outdoor basketball court, and adding a new asphalt overlay to the existing walking and biking paths. Additionally, park district staff will install a permanent outfield home run fence on the south ball field, to match the other two fields that are already equipped with home run fences.

“This comprehensive investment in Fabbrini Park demonstrates our ongoing commitment to maintaining high quality recreational spaces for our community,” said Executive Director Craig Talsma. “By tackling these projects simultaneously, we can minimize the overall disruption to our residents and deliver a refreshed, safer, and more modern park. We greatly appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation while our crews work to complete these updates safely.”

The project timeline and specific closure dates are subject to change based on weather conditions. Additionally, to ensure public safety while heavy machinery is operating and sealants are curing, residents and visitors are asked to respect all posted signage and barricades by completely refraining from entering the park grounds, parking lots, paths, or sports fields during the maintenance window.

The Hoffman Estates Park District appreciates the community patience and cooperation as these necessary investments are completed to keep our neighborhood facilities vibrant, safe, and modern for years to come. Updates regarding the project schedule and potential weather delays will be posted to www.heparks.org, and HEParks’ social media channels.
