Tap dance turns dancers into musicians from the very first step! In the Hoffman Estates Park District dance program, young dancers learn how to use their feet as percussion, turning every shuffle, flap, and stomp into a unique musical phrase. Our supportive studio setting builds rhythm, timing, and balance through fun, high-energy exercises. Dancers master fundamental tap technique while learning how to listen, count music, and create crisp, clear sounds as instruction expands based on age and skill level.
