Nature Volunteer Event – Wildflower Seed Collecting

September 22 @ 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Free

Calling all nature lovers, or anyone who just wants to give back to their community. Come out and lend a hand and learn from our park experts about the great outdoors right in your own backyard. All events run 9-11 AM. All ages are welcome. Please bring a set of garden gloves and water to drink, if you wish. Please RSVP below or by emailing smanisco@heparks.org.

This event is part of National Public Lands Day, and is great for scout troops and class projects. Help us gather wildflower seeds at this beautiful park so that we can spread the seeds next spring at another Hoffman park.

Join hundreds of thousands of people at sites throughout the country and take part in NEEF’s 25th annual National Public Lands Day (NPLD), sponsored by national corporate sponsor Toyota. National Public Lands Day is the nation’s largest, single-day volunteer effort for public lands. NEEF uses the day to connect people to public lands and their communities, inspire environmental stewardship, and encourage use of public lands for education, recreation, and general health. Lend a hand and have fun at the same time by bringing your family, friends, classmates, students, or coworkers of all ages and abilities to spend the day outdoors celebrating public lands. Your work will help ensure our public lands continue to be beautiful places for all to enjoy.

To learn more, visit NEEFusa.org/NPLD. Follow NPLD on Twitter and Facebook for the updates and engage with our community through the hashtags #NPLD and #NEEF25thNPLD. This September, celebrate something we all share: our public lands!

Click here for a map.  – The address is on Bordeaux, but to make it easier to find, we suggest putting 1500 W. Algonquin road in your GPS, the park is located behind the Korean Church of Hoffman Estates and it shares a parking lot with the church.
