Hoffman Walks – Join us!

Introducing a new, free community walking program open to all ages. Join us once a month as we gather together to walk, the location and theme will vary each month. Each event is scheduled for two hours on a Saturday. But you are welcome to come at any time, stay as long as you’d like and walk as far as you’d like. Please RSVP at the link below or by email.
This event series is for you if you want to spend more time with family, make new friends, improve your health, explore nature or whatever your reason.
Pick up a Hoffman Walks Passport! Get it initialed by HE Parks Staff at each event. After your 5th event, you win a prize.
Kick Off Event – Sat. Mar. 11, 9-11 AM at Triphahn Center (1685 W. Higgins Rd.) Learn about the new community walking program, Hoffman Walks, and hear a presentation about the benefits of walking by Certified Personal Trainer Zac Marshall, called “What’s So Awesome About Walking?” Then, take a walk on the Indoor Track. Wear St. Patty’s Day green!
April Flowers Walk – Sat. April 8, 9-11 AM at Charlemagne Park (3799 Bordeaux, behind the Korean Church, it shares a parking lot off of Algonquin Rd) Take a stroll along the pond and its 1.5 miles of blooming spring foliage, guided by Parks Dept. nature expert. Enjoy the playground, tennis court and shelter, too.
Mother’s Day Walk – Sat. May 6, 9-11 AM at Fabbrini Park. (1704 Glenlake Rd) Bring Mom out for a walk in the park at one of our flagship parks, Fabbrini. This scenic park features two ponds, a park shelter and restrooms, several playgrounds, basketball courts, tennis and pickleball courts, baseball fields.
