Featured Park Project<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Illinois Department of Natural Resources awarded a prestigious $600,000 Open Space Land Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) Matching Grant to the Hoffman Estates Park District for the Vogelei Park Renovation. It is the largest grant the District has received in its history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

OSLAD is a cost-sharing program between state and local governments that helps communities fund land acquisition and development for parks and outdoor recreation projects. It\u2019s become one of the most popular grant programs in Illinois. The total $1.2 million project will be completed within the next two years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are honored to receive the $600,000 OSLAD Award, which serves as a testament to our dedication to enhancing Vogelei Park for the benefit of our residents,\u201d said Executive Director Craig Talsma. \u201cOur community\u2019s input has already been invaluable, and we look forward to continued collaboration as we work together to create a park that caters to the diverse needs of our residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
