HE Parks Offers Free Sunscreen in Parks and at Pool

Thanks to the Hoffman Estates Park District (HE Parks) and Pinnacle Dermatology of Hoffman Estates, visitors to several of the Hoffman Estates parks won’t have to worry about the consequences of forgetting their sunscreen when they’re out at the parks, at Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club or at Seascape Family Aquatic Center. That’s because the two organizations have partnered to place sunscreen dispensers at select parks and facilities.

Sunscreen lotion with SPF 30 is recommended by dermatologists to protect skin from sun exposure. Too much exposure to the sun can cause melanoma or skin cancer. In fact, only three sunburns can increase the chances of an individual of being diagnosed with melanoma by 65%. Read More »
