HEParks Twirling Twisters Win National Competition

Congratulations to the Twirling Twisters for their first place win at America’s Youth on Parade National Competition at Notre Dame University in South Bend, Indiana.

Coached by Stephanie Felber and Jaclynn Avner, the performers took first place in the Juvenile Show with Props category – a 5-7 minute routine that involves a theme and incorporates baton twirling, flags, poms and props. This Performance Baton team practices are year-round at Hoffman Estates Park District. Members compete in solo and group competitions.

Performance Baton is part of the baton/poms programming offered at HEParks. Beginning level programs are available for students 4-18 years and performance baton is available for 7-18 year-olds. Classes begin soon
