Stop By To See the New Triphahn Center

The renovations to the north side of the Triphahn Center are complete. This project, which resulted from the 2014-2019 Comprehensive Master Plan, began last winter and is now open for use by our community. The highlights include:

North Side Lobby and Lounge – A new Welcome Desk allows visitors to  get information and register for programs. A lounge area opposite the Welcome Desk and new coffee maker provide a comfortable and cozy area with a fireplace and sofas for visitors to our 50+ Club and for youth sports’ parents. It includes movable walls so that the space can be opened to the lobby or closed.

50+ Active Adults Center – The 50+ Active Adults Center, which previously consisted of four smaller rooms, has been consolidated into one large room with a retractable wall that separates the space into two smaller rooms. Equipment, books and games are stored in cabinets in the lounge area. A new game room is home to brand new pool tables, card tables and pub tables thanks to funds generously donated by the Friends of HE Parks foundation.

Party Rentals – Off hours on the weekends, the new space lends itself to additional room rental opportunities; an affordable option for residents and a valuable revenue source for the district.

Early Learning Center – A new room was added to the Early Learning Center (ELC), which provides full-day preschool child care. The new room allows teachers to separate 3, 4 and 5-year-olds into their own classrooms and tailor the curriculum for the developmental needs of the child’s age.

Athletic Performance Shelf – The Wolf Pack Hockey Club currently serves more than 1,400 kids year round. With the growing popularity of hockey programs across the nation and the success of our own Wolf Pack program, the need for off-ice training areas has been a concern for several years. A new off-ice hockey training room is now located in space that was previously the Gymnastics Shelf. The space accommodates 15-18 kids at a time and will be available for sports conditioning programs for all athletes.

Gymnastics programs – have been relocated to the second floor of the Vogelei Barn where the program has additional space both in square footage and ceiling heights.

Stop by and see the new space!
