STAR is Student Development Through Academics & Recreation. The STAR program will provide your child a safe environment of fun and excitement. Activities include weekly themed arts and crafts, gym games, outdoor play, homework time and much more!

STAR Locations for 2008-2009 school year:

*Willow Recreation Center - for children enrolled in Thomas Jefferson & Whitely schools (K-6th grade)

*Lakeview Elementary School - (K-6th grade)

*MacArthur Elementary School - (1st - 6th grade)

Registration ends April 25, 2008. Registration for the Willow site will take place at Willow Recreation Center. Registration for Lakeview or MacArthur STAR will take place at the Community Center & Ice Arena. Priority will be given to those currently enrolled in the program.

A non-refundable $25 per child fee is due at the time of registration. An EFT Authorization Form is also completed at the time of registration. Nine monthly payments will be automatically deducted from your checking account or credit card one month in advance.

Kindergarten CARE

Kindergarten CARE is available for children who attend morning kindergarten at Whiteley or Thomas Jefferson schools. The before school portion of STAR runs from 7:00 am until school starts. After kindergarten, the children are bussed to Willow for the remainder of the day. *We are a peanut-free environment so please do not send anything that contains peanuts with your child. Children will eat their lunch at Willow and participate in planned activities for the remainder of the day.
