Adopt a Park
Our Adopt-a-Park Program is a great way to take ownership of your local parks.
As an adopting family or organization, you can choose to handle select park maintenance activities, including:
• weeding/raking playgrounds
• weeding/watering flower beds
• painting park structures
• trash pick up
• graffiti clean up
• shoreline rock retrieval
• visual policing and more!
To volunteer, call (847)285-5465.
Plant a
Memorial Tree
The Hoffman Estates Park Districts living tree memorial program offers residents a unique way to honor and remember a loved one. A memorial tree is also the perfect way to commemorate one of lifes milestones, from weddings and anniversaries to the birth of a child.
A one-time donation of $300 lets you place the tree of your choice in a park that is special to you. Memorial tree forms are available at the Hoffman Estates Park District Community Center & Ice Arena. For more information, or to have a memorial tree form mailed to you, send us an email with your name and address or click here for a Memorial Tree Interest Form.

The park district is governed by seven elected commissioners, representing the recreational needs of the community. These Park Commissioners are unpaid, serving four-year terms. Park commissioners have the power to levy taxes within prescribed limits, establish or change park district policies, sign agreements, award contracts, and possess all of the powers similar to those of a board of directors for a public corporation.
