The Hoffman Estates Park District’s first ever disc golfing tournament will be held on May 1st at the new Black Bear Park (1784 Essex Drive) in conjunction with the park dedication. The tournament will begin at 9AM followed by the dedication at approximately 11AM.

The tournament will be open to up to 72 disc golfers of all ages and skill levels. Registration for the tournament will be divided into two groups - experienced players and recreational or novice players. Players will be competing for REI Outfitters gift cards. A $100 prize will go to the winner of the experienced division and $50 will go to the novice division winner. The public is welcome and encouraged to come watch the action and for those new to the game, a public disc golf demonstration will follow the park dedication. The cost to play is $14 for residents and $16 for non residents.
