Lightning Prediction System
The Hoffman Estates Park District recently installed a Thorguard lightning detection system at Poplar Creek Country Club, which covers Seascape Family Aquatic Center. The system helps alert patrons to hazardous weather conditions.
Weather Warning Guidelines
One 15-second blast signals a potentially dangerous weather situation approaching. Clear the pool area immediately and seek appropriate shelter. Return ONLY after the all clear is given. ALL CLEAR-3 short blasts. f you see lightning or hear thunder, even if the alarm doesn't sound, leave the pool area immediately and do not return until 20 minutes after the last occurrence.
Rules and Regulations
