Buildings and Grounds Committee — 1st Tuesday of every month
Addresses topics relating to the improvement or development of facilities or park grounds.

Makes recommendations that focus on the organization and implementation of recreational and athletic programs.

Addresses topics relating to personnel and reviews financial issues affecting the Park District.

Forward Planning Committee (Ad Hoc committee)
This committee is to present recommendations to the Board regarding future planning of the Park District. The committee provides direction to staff in gathering community input, researching alternatives, evaluating alternatives, reviewing proposals and monitoring results.
5/14/13 FPC Packet (immediately following 7pm Rec Meeting)
Standing Committees comprised of up to five residents and two Park Commissioners are appointed by the Board annually. District staff report to the Standing Committees on a monthly basis. Once each report is received, reviewed, and subsequently approved by the Committee, the Committee then makes its recommendation to the full Board during the monthly Board meeting. Community Representatives do not vote as members of the full park board.
Residents interested in serving on these committees should submit a letter of interest to the Park District Executive Director outlining their qualifications and why they're interested in serving on the board no later than April 1st of each year. Appointments will be made at the Board's annual meeting in May.
