Hoffman Idol
This is a solo competition; no duets or groups. Register for your appropriate age division and rehearse! You must be a Hoffman Estates resident to participate. Registration deadline is July 17, 2013 (space permitting).You must provide your own accompaniment on a CD or you can play the guitar or other portable instrument. Keyboards are not allowed due to the lack of time between acts. ALL music must contain ONLY background music; absolutely NO main vocals (no sing-a-long). You may also sing without accompaniment if the song choice is appropriate.
Participants should indicate their song choice and must drop off a copy of their accompaniment CD by July 17, 2013 to Nicole Chesak at the Triphahn Center front desk. The copy should be the only track on the CD. Please mark directly on the CD with your name, phone number, and song. You must have a minimum of one other competitor in your division. If there are fewer than 3 in a category you will compete in an older category.

Youth I: 5 and under
Youth II: 6-8
Tween I: 9-11
Tween II: 12-14
Teen: 15-19
Adult I: 20-30
Adult II: 31 & over
Fee: $15/resident
Signs are welcome at the performance. Winners will receive a Hoffman Estates Idol Award and perform at the Annual Party In the Park event in August. You will be judged on vocal presentation, entertainment ability, crowd reaction, physical presentation/costuming and overall performance. All judges’ decisions are final. Event takes place at the Bridges of Poplar Creek Golf Course on July 24th from 5-9 pm.
