Adopt-A-Park Program

This program is a great way for families, individuals, civic groups, businesses and organizations to play an active role in beautifying their parks. You can plant, water, weed, cultivate or participate in special projects at our various park sites. Find out more.

Vogelei CARES

It takes many dedicated people to maintain and operate a project like the Vogelei CARES (Collection of Active Resources for Education & Stewardship) concept, and the efforts of our many volunteers can be seen everywhere in our garden display as well as the programs run for the enjoyment and learning experience of our guests.

A coach can have a monumental impact on a child just learning to play organized sports. We have a variety of different sports in need of volunteer coaches, including: basketball, soccer, volleyball, gymnastics, hockey and swimming. Anyone interested in coaching, receives specialized training.

Friends of HE Parks Foundation

Our Foundation is often looking for volunteers to help with annual fundraising events, from helping out at the annual Uncorked & Untapped Wine and Beer Tasting or Girls' Night Out to finding participants for the annual Celebri-Tee Golf Outing.

As a volunteer, you will enjoy the rewards of giving back and contributing to your community. If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering, contact Peg Kusmierski at 847-310-3617 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
